Joyful Sounds, the classic Christian music program, started in 1982 by CMW Publisher Rob Green, has announced a strategic underwriting agreement with Galcom International and WYRZ-FM-98.9, the flagship station. Beginning last Sunday, the prime-time streaming, starting at 9pm Eastern Time, changed URLs to synch up with the local FM broadcasts. Originally broadcast live at different times on two Toronto area stations in the early and mid 1980s, the show, and its sister show, Joyful Country/County Line/Gospel Country, syndicated in 1988 quickly becoming Canada’s national Christian radio show, and spreading worldwide including markets in Poland, Norway, Iceland, Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Philippines.“In the 1980s, we were on radio stations every 50 to 60 miles in North America, just to cover the land,” Green said. “Today, many of our original teenaged listeners are now pushing 50, and tune in with smartphones and computers, from across America and around the world. So today, effective syndication can be just a handful of streaming stations, playing the show at various hours of the weekend.”

How to get the elusive reporters list

Native RTL SupportOur business model is different from the other publications. They charge big money for the publication and then give away the list of surveyed stations. This means the important data for promoters is free, while radio stations bear the higher cost, effectively just for the right of reporting. CMW's business model charges radio nothing. Zero. Nada. But we do charge for the reporters list.
